Natural Skin Care For The 5 Skin Types – Treatment Plans

In the last post, you learned about the five different skin types. Based on the Kleenex test you performed and your skin history, you should have determined what type of skin you have. Here is a natural skin care plan for every skin type, so you can achieve that beautiful radiant skin you have always wanted.

1. Normal Skin
Since normal skin is the lowest maintenance of the skin types, it still requires a minimalist care routine. Wash your face with soap and cool water twice a day. Use an all-natural moisturizer as needed, preferably one with some sun protection.

2. Dry Skin
To keep dry skin healthy, you should employ a regular skin treatment of natural masks and moisturizers. The key is restoring minerals to and hydrating your skin so it retains a healthy elasticity. You may consider washing your face only once a day so as to prevent dehydration.

3. Oily Skin
With oily skin, treatment is often as simple as making changes to your diet to cut out carbohydrates, and avoiding rich creams and moisturizers that further clog pores. Regular washing two or three times a day will also help you deal with excess oil buildup.

4. Combination Skin
With combination skin you need to have a two-pronged attack to moisturize the dry areas of your cheeks and around your eyes and regularly wash oily areas in your T-zone. Wash regularly and apply a moisturizer to the cheeks and around the eyes to restore nutrients and prevent wrinkles.

5. Sensitive Skin
With sensitive skin, your best bet is to use products with all natural ingredients, and be aware of any skin allergies you may have. Stay away from anything non-comedogenic or washes that are particularly abrasive, such as benzoyl peroxide. For best results, consult a licensed dermatologist for the right routine for your skin.
